Founder – Darmah

Rodrigo Proal is an industrial engineer who founded the award-winning darmah studio in Mexico City in 2006, and then founded the first disguise studio worldwide. In 2010, he expanded operations to Miami. This year they became certified proprietor of the dXR stage with XR technology at their Miami studio. The company, a multilayered full turnkey production house, has provided production design, sets, and visuals for shows and sporting events including three FIFA World Cups (Africa, Brazil, and Russia); the Pan American Games’ Closing Ceremony; Latin Grammy’s; Premios Juventud Awards; Latin Billboards; and iHeart Radio Music Awards. Artists they have worked with include Elton John, Usher, Ricky Martin, John Legend, BTS, Daddy Yankee, and Ozuna, among many others. Clients and brands include Google, Twitter, Target, MTV, Nickelodeon, Univision, and NBC Universal.

Proal’s experience with entertainment technology enables him to creatively produce a show by seamlessly understanding all technical aspects of it. “Technology and design have always been part of our creative process, to bring emotion to the audience,” he says. His expertise in entertainment technology also has him consulting with LED manufacturers, advising on new products in development. As a Production Designer and Director of Darmah, he’s developed team workflows and creative processes that custom deliver superior results for clients.
