Hana Kim is a LA based immersive media designer with experiences in film, graphic design and public art.

Originally from South Korea, she is interested in creating the chemistry between the sense of space and the moving image; blurring/reclaiming the boundary between the concrete and the ephemeral, the real and the imaginary, the message and the metaphor.

Her design works have been seen across the country including Broadway (Lincoln Center and Manhattan Theater Club), Public Theater in NY, Santa Fe Opera, LA Opera, Geffen Playhouse, Pasadena playhouse, Baltimore Center Stage and South Coast Rep. Video Art installations have been shown at the Annenberg Space of Photography and Baryshnikov Arts Center in NY.

She is a recipient of Princess Grace Award in Theater Design, 2018 Sherwood Awards and a member of United Scenic Artists Local 829. Her designs won Helen Hayes Award, Stage Raw Awards, StageSceneLA Awards, Bay Area Theater Critics Circle Awards and LA Drama Critics Circle with The Kinetic Lighting Award for distinguished achievement in theatrical design.
